There is a real lack of fun indoor places in the Wellington region. Tourism is worth $24 billion to New Zealand & I don’t feel the Hutt City (or even the Wellington region) is doing enough to get it’s fair share of this pie. We need to look at ways we can get tourists to stop in the Wellington region on their way south, as just being the gateway to the South Island isn’t a good enough reason.

I’m keen to explore the options of a creative technology museum for kids, to not only stimulate and inspire the next generation of leaders, but also to provide more things for kids & youth to engage with indoors.

We could look wider than just this also and see what else could enhance our region – aquariums, luge track, outdoor water park… I’m not sure what the answer is, but we have a real lack of exciting things in our region.
